When Montreal was founded in 1642, the settlers started from scratch. They toiled
from dawn to dusk to ensure the success of their mission. This is the story of seven
exceptional women, some well known, others not, and the important role they
played in the reputation and survival of the colony. You are invited to get better
acquainted with Françoise, Mathurine, Agathe, Jeanne, Marie and the two
Marguerites who, for over a century, paved the way for generations of women.
